Hi again,
Well 'Chilli' and 'Cash' have finally had their new puppies. They had two boys and two girls. They were born on Monday 25th March with Izzie first at 2.45am followed by Buddy, then very quickly after 'Mac', and last but not least 'Mouse' at 4.00am. Let's say it was a long night! I had to stay up to make sure 'Chilli' gave birth without difficulties. She did extremely well with all delivering head first. Pictured above dad 'Cash' from Left to Right is the girls 'Izzie', and 'Mouse', and the boys, 'Buddy', and 'Mac'.

The puppies are pushing 3 weeks old in the photos below and are just starting to get a little playful, but most of the time they just eat and sleep! After the last litter being all Tan and White it was good to see some Black and White pups. They should be ready to go to new homes by 21st of April.

In the photos shown below the puppies are nearly 5 weeks and ready to go to new homes. We will miss them dearly! From the top is Buddy with his beautiful even markings and Mouse in the background. Next is Mac trying to look cool. He is always sticking his ears up.

Then brother sister teams above Mouse and Buddy again and below Mac and Izzie. Under that we have Mac seasoning and all four playing at the end. Very hard to get them all looking at once.

We saw some lovely weather this Easter with warm sunny days. But just a few days after it has cooled down and the flanalette PJ's are out! The owl's have been very prominent lately with a new resident 'Barn Owl' making it's home in the silo's in the farm shed. It has also been spotted in the Dam hut. Many guests have tried to capture it on camera with no luck so far. I personally have not spotted the owl yet and hope to get a good picture to show you all soon.

The Brangus steers (Big Mac's) are enjoying our green paddocks and are fattening up nicely. The Red Backed Fairy Wrens are still dancing around singing their peaceful tunes while feeding on the grass seed. And we have managed to raise 5 Guinea Fowl Keets pictured below. They require a light to keep warm when they are not with their mother. We have to take them from their mothers and raise them because there are too many predators and they do not survive. When they are big enough to fly and protect themselves they will go back to their parents.

For those of you who missed the last new's update we also have a new Remedial Massage Therapist 'Robyn' travelling to our retreat to perform rejuvenating massages in the privacy of the cottage decks. See the updated massage page above. Below is a great shot of three young Barking Owls. The photo was donated from a guest that works in a Brisbane Zoo. See more photos on our Barking Owl page on the link below.
