Our 41 acre Atherton Tablelands Retreat's central location is just minutes from the beautiful Lake Tinaroo Dam, a short drive from the historical village of Yungaburra filled with just some of the excellent Atherton Tableland Restaurants and country churches which also hosts the famous Yungaburra Markets, and just over an hours drive from the Cairns Airport, yet nestled amongst the many Atherton Tablelands attractions on the Cairns Highlands, Tropical Far North Queensland, Australia. Barking Owl Retreat offers quiet private luxury fully self contained accommodation with the friendliness and atmosphere of a traditional Australian Bed and Breakfast (BNB) Farm stay.

Wake to the sound of bird songs and the smell of fresh country air, see the kangaroos playing and the cattle grazing, walk out on your private deck and view the hot air balloons on the horizon. Soak in the large double spa back at the cabin, or spoil yourself by indulging in a traditional Hawaiian Temple Style Massage in the privacy of your own cottage.
